Bullet points (leading asterisk followed by space) does not show up

I was just experimenting with this in NC14. I ran into several issues. Many of them are not always reproducible. A reproducible one was that the bullet points, usually generated by starting with an asterisk ("*"), followed by a space, did not show up at all. Also, often nothing would show up at all when I included one of these asterisks (not even after a simply reload in the browser (F5)). Sometimes, the page displayed after a forced/hard page reload (Ctrl+Shift+R in chrome).

In my NC markdown editor the bullets showed up correctly and as expected.

Not sure this should be called "v1.0" at this stage... it sets some expectations in users.
